Reason # 8 to Hire a Doula
Babies score higher on their APGAR tests when their mamas have the support of a doula.
An APGAR test is performed 1 minute and 5 minutes after birth to assess the baby’s health. Babies are given a score of 0-2 with each of the categories for a total of ten possible points.
