October 15 in Ontario is Pregnancy and Infancy Loss Awareness Day. Sharing your story might help another family who is dealing with the same heartache. By talking about it, we help support parents & parents-to-be shed light on a very important part of their lives.
It is estimated that approximately 37,000 families have lost pregnancies or infants this past year in Ontario. In 2015, the provincial government passed Bill 141 in order to educate and support those faced with pregnancy and infant loss, that includes healthcare workers who come face to face with these families.
