Beautiful Birth

I attended a birth this week. The most beautiful birth. 

The couple, a husband and wife, showed their love, care and attention to one another the whole labor through. They worked tirelessly laughing, crying and singing. Today, I met them in their home where they have a little baby in their arms. 

During this birth, I felt I was truly a doula. I was seeing the effects of companionship and support. Because of this birth, I feel confident. I feel like I have worked hard and am appreciated. Above nothing else, I feel I have made a difference. 

Joy. Endless joy.
